UPDATE - FORT CARSON
2004

My name is Mike Burke and your Past Post Commander, G.W. Adkisson & I served together in Vietnam.  We just had our 4th 2/17th Artillery Reunion in Colorado Springs the 1st of this month.  The reason I'm writing to you is it was the 1st time I've been able to see old G.W. since 1971 and it was a terrific experience to be with him again and to meet his wife for the 1st time.  He's a great Guy and you all are lucky to have had him as a Commander.  Not to mention he was a hell of a Soldier, I know this first hand because I was his Sergeant in Vietnam.  I've attached a picture of three of us which was taken at Ft Carson a few weeks ago.  The 3 of us in this picture we're in the same Gun Section together in Vietnam.

Sincerely
Mike Burke
